About Me
Hi, my name is Tung Do. I am a Chief Engineer and Senior Humanoid Robotics Engineer at VinMotion, a humanoid robotics company founded by Professor Quan Nguyen. Since joining the company at its founding in 2025, I have contributed to the development of multiple humanoid robot platforms, including Motion1, Motion2, and MMotion. My work focuses on humanoid locomotion, whole-body control, MPC, reinforcement learning, teleoperation, and robust software infrastructure for humanoid robot platforms. I have developed simulation and deployment workflows, automated robot validation pipelines, unit-test systems, CI/CD infrastructure, and tools that accelerate development from robot design to hardware testing. My experience spans robot modeling, controller integration, hardware validation, and real-world deployment of humanoid robot capabilities.
Before joining VinMotion, I received an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a Robotics focus from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 2025. During my studies, I worked with Professor Ram Vasudevan at the ROAHM Lab, Professor Katherine Skinner at the University of Michigan Field Robotics Group.
